After the movie "Mero Auta Sathi Chha" the hit couple Aaryan and Namrata hasn't been seen in a movie for a long time. November Rain will end that long wait on the day ofthe Nepali New Year.Since this movie is going to be produced under the actor Aaryan Sigdel's own home production, he is giving his 100% effort in the movie.
Most scenes in the movie are shooted in Dharan and Kathmandu Nepal.

The movie produced by Kajal Films is one more movie produced by popular movie actor Bhuwann KC. The actor added an extra ‘n’ in his name on the suggestion of an astrologer. We posted Bhuwan’s interview at the tome of the release of the movie (in February of 2012). Although our review of ‘Sathi Ma Timro’ was positive in nature, the movie wasn’t that successful in theater and changing names wasn’t as helpful as expected.

The movie also marks the entry of Anmol KC, Bhuwan’s son in Nepali movie industry. Although Anmol is only featured in one song and he doesn’t have an opportunity to show his acting talent, young girls had been fan of the new actor in the industry. Anmol proved his acting capacity in his next movie ‘Hostel’ and became successful in winning some awards for his role. In this movie, the role played by child artist Shirshak Sapkota was appreciated by most of the viewers.

Richa Singh Thakuri lackluster comeback and questionable future

Two of actress Richa Singh Thakuri‘s movies were released in consecutive weeks. A couple of weeks earlier, ‘Maya Gara La’ featuring Richa in lead role was released and this week, ‘Khudkilo’ was released.


‘Maya Gara La’ proved to be another loss-making Nepali movie and ‘Khudkilo’ is going destined to similar performance in theater. That means, Richa’s future in Nepali film industry is not as bright as one might expect.


Richa came in limelight when her movies ‘Nai Nabhannu La’ and ‘Ma Timro Bhaisake’ became successful. Currently Richa doesn’t have any movies in hand.

In our previous report, we posted about Richa’s profession as a dancer in Dubai. That was the reason told for her absence from the Nepali film industry.

First look poster of Lazza released

The first look poster of upcoming movie by noted film maker Chhabi Raj Ojha, ‘Lazza’ is released.

The movie scheduled to release on Kartik 7 (October 24, 2014) features Aryan Sigdel and Shilpa Pokharel in lead role. The movie directed by Nawal Nepal is the third movie under Chhabiraj Films banner.

After the divorce with Rekha Thapa, Chhabi had registered the production banner under his own name. The first movie under the banner, was ‘Hamesha‘ which was jointly produced by Chhabiraj Films and Rekha Films.


In a total of 15 movies Chhabi has produced so far only a couple of his movie were unsuccessful. Chhabi and Rekha had produced movies ‘Kali‘ and ‘Loafer’ simultaneously. While Rekha’s ‘Kali’ became a hit movie, ‘Loafer’ wasn’t liked by the viewers. Like last year, while Rekha is producing ‘Himmatwali’, Chhabi has produced ‘Lazza’.

Chhabi is repeating ‘Lazza’ actress Shilpa in his next movie, ‘Hawaldar Suntali’.

Four new movies are being released on May 16, 2014 in theaters all over Nepal. Director Subash Koirala‘s movie ‘Aawaran’,  director Prashant Tamang’s direction ‘Thulo Manche’, Niranjan Kasaju’s movie ‘Peepal’ and Janakraj Khakurel’s movie ‘Khudkilo’ are releasing in theater this Friday.

Aawaran
The most publicized movies among the four new releases is ‘Aawaran’. The movie directed by Subash Koirala is also told to be made by using latest graphic technology. The movie features actress Priyanka Karki in leading role and other actors in the movie include Divya Dev, Sushil Raj Pandey, Naresh poudel, Anubhav Regmi and others. The movie made on horror suspense thriller is produced by Anil Yonjan.


Thulo Manche
A movie made on a story of children, ‘Thulo Manche’ is directed by artist Prashant Tamang. The movie produced by Pradeep Khadka features a number of child artists. Actress Keki Adhikari is featured in guest role in the movie.



Peepal

Nisha Adhikari and Priyanka Karki helped the wife of dressman Kuldeep

Actress Nisha Adhikari and Priyanka Karki have helped Dilmaya Adhikari, the wife of dressman in Nepali movie industry, Kuldeep. In addition to helping financially, the actresses have also asked everybody to help Kuldeep and his wife. -


In a Facebook statement, Priyanka says, "She is the wife of Kuldip dressman. I say dress-man because that way a lot of my friends and colleagues in the Nepali film industry will know who I am talking about." Priyanka had worked with Kuldeep in three different films and she had found him a very hardworking and focused man. Kuldeep’s wife has been hospitalized for the past four months and she had undergone two major surgeries in that time.


Funds are the major hurdle for the couple. In addition to financial support, they also need emotional support. Priyanka has asked everybody to support her financially and emotionally and shared Kuldeep’s phone number (984-9178217).

Best Actress Rekha Thapa came with her boyfriend in Box Office Film Awards

Nepali actress Rekha Thapa was awarded the Best Actress Award for her role in ‘Kali’ in Box Office film Award ceremony held in Kathmandu. In addition to Best Actress award, she was also awarded the Viewer’s Choice award.

Rekha went to the award ceremony with her mother and ‘Himmatwali’ actor Sudarshan Gautam. Rekha has been promoting the affair gossip about herself and Sudarshan in an effort to promote the movie scheduled to release on Dashain this year.


Although the rumor of affair between Sudarshan and Rekha is going on, people who know Rekha personally don’t believe she longs for a person with disability. She is known to make use of a person and dump right after her purpose is fulfilled. Box Office Film Award 2014 – Rekha, Prakriti and Karishma

Actress Rekha Thapa has won the Box Office Film Award in an event held in Kathmandu. She also bagged the Public Choice Award. - 
Other nominated in Best Actress award were Jharana Thapa, Neeta Dhungana, Priyanka Karki and Keki Adhikari.


In Best new Actress category Prakriti Shrestha of ‘Hostel‘ was awarded the award. Other nominations for the New actress category were.


Actress Karishma Manandhar was also awarded the best actress in supporting role award in the ceremony.

The movie was also shown in foreign countries like Qatar. While Shyam Bhattarai had made hit movies like ‘Lanka’ for Rekha, Rekha later accused Shyam of not knowing anything about directing and snatched directorship of ‘Himmatwali’ from him.
Rekha’s movies with similar names and similar roles were released consequently creating confusion on the characters she had played.

Adhakatti unit waiting Namrata Shrestha to wrap up the shooting

The shooting of the movie by Subrat Acharya, ‘Adhakatti’ was halted when actress Namrata Shrestha became sick and had to undergo surgery. The ‘Adhakatti’ team is expecting to complete shooting soon as Namrata has returned back to Kathmandu after resting in Pokhara for some time.


Adhakatti’ features an item dance of the actress. The director Acharya says that the shooting of everything except the item dance titled ‘Hey Namrata…’ has finished.


Namrata seems to be better as she had recently participated in a cocktail dinner of Chalchitra Sangh. The movie produced by Pradeep K. Uday features Gaurav Pahadi, Gajit Bista, Ashishma Nakarmi an dPradeep Bastola in main role. The debut movie of journalist Subrat Acharya was previously delayed for some time and went to floor in March.

Rekha Thapa went to USA

Top actress of Nepali movie industry, Rekha Thapa, has gone to the USA to participate in cultural program ‘Namaste America’ on Jan 23.

Rekha was seeking to head the Film Development Board and had been trying to woo PM Baburam Bhattarai and Prachanda. But, her effort wasn’t successful as some film personalities protested Rekha for the post. Some believe, Rekha wanted to get fresh by going to USA after the failure.

There is a very bad trend of Nepali artists not to return back once they enter USA. It seems like a very good timing if she decide to stay in USA given the following few condition:

• Problem in relationship with husband Chhabi Raj Ojha
• Although she is still the number one actress, there are high chance that she can’t maintain the position.
• Nepali films are not doing well and the business is not that charming.

Actress and daughter of fight director Rajendra Khadgi, and sister of actress Ragini Khadgi, Romi Khadgi, has been sick and was admitted to the hospital.
