Suvekshya Khadka Back Home Empty Handed. Model Suveksha Thapa got back home empty handed from Miss International 2012. Khadka who was in Thailand to represent Nepal in that event was entitled for nothing.But, Khadka's kind help to a German Model by lending one of the outfits from her collections on the delay of foreign model's luggage was something to be appreciated and make us feel proud of.

The sentence she wrote on her social media reflects that she hasn't lost her hope though she got nothing to be appluaded for in the event.
She wrote "One of the secrets of life is to find joy in the journey.” And the journey to Miss International from the beginning till the end has been a memorable one. No matter how everything went , it is one of my best memory which i shall always cherish Reminiscing about the past 3 weeks"

How Much "Dakshina" Our Actresses Recieved In Dasain? On the third day of Dasain, Nepali actresses are still busy celebrating the festivals and visiting elders to recieve auspiciousTika, Jamara and blessings.In the course of the festival some of the popular actresses have reported their sum of dakshina collected to one of the filmy sites merocinema.com.
The bold actress Rekha Thapa this year unfortunately could not recieve tika and jamara from her mother but she celebrated with her brother and sister inlaw.Apart from her relatives she also recieved tika from Maoist leader and ex minister Krishna Bdr Mahara.
Altogether she made some around 1100 hundred Nepali Rupees in this Dasain.

Another actress Sarita Giri collected 2500 hundred nepali rupees on the very first day and she still has some more elderly people to visit for best wishes, tika and jamara.





'Visa Girl' Richa Sharma celebrated her festival in the valley.She has been celebrating Dasain in Kathmandu for last 4 years since her fathers death.Richa altogether made sum of 4 thousands nepali rupees this year.







Lastly, Chapali Girl Binita Baral made much amount compared to the other actresses.She made the total of 10000 nepali rupees in Dasain.She is planning to spend the collection in one of the restura in Kathmandu.

Dashain releases couldn’t make money in the holiday season. Dashain is the free and fun time for most of the Nepali people. To cash on the festive mood of the people four Nepali movies were released at once on October 19. But, by the end of Dashain it is clear that none of the movie did satisfactory business.

Our reviewer Raunak has found that one of the most talked about movie ‘Dhuwaan yo Nasha‘ had nothing in it. Does that mean our filmmakers take the holidays for granted and release sub-standard movies in such times?


The filmmakers have admitted that, this Dashain was the worst one in the history of Nepali movies. The message is clear – filmmakers shouldn’t take holiday seasons for granted. They should make good movies and they shouldn’t ruin viewers’ festive mood. Let’s hope they have learnt the lesion.

Actress Rejina Upreti was invited as a guest in a Dashain program organized by Srijansil Leicester Nepal, UK to exchange best wishes among the Nepali people living in the city. The program was held in Everest Dine restaurant, located at the main center of Leicester.
In the program, Rejina danced in a Kunti Moktan song, "Laliguras Ajambari …" song. She also danced in the item song of ‘Loot‘, "Udreko Choli Chha hai…" The participants had enjoyed the dances and had also participated by dancing in the tune.


In the event, typical Nepali food including sel roti, kakro aachar, and goat meat. The floor dance and dohori had continued till the dawn.

Malina Joshi featured as an item girl in ‘Kollywood’. In an upcoming movie ‘Kollywood’ Miss Nepal 2011, Malina Joshi, is being featured as a hot item girl. In the hot and sexy title-song of the movie ‘Nasha ho you Kollywood’ will feature is shot in an item song format. Choreographer Renasha Rai had directed the hot moves of the ex-Miss Nepal. In addition, actor Sunil Thapa is also featured as a guest artist in the movie.
The shooting of Kollywood, featuring actors like Aryan Sigdel, Priyanka Karki, Bishnu Karki, Payal Thapa in main roles, has just finished and the post-production work has started. The movie produced by Kumar Khadka is directed by Navaraj Acharya and made on a story of the struggle of an actor in the Nepali film industry. RIP Yash Chopra. The legendary producer, director and script writer of Hindi movies, Yash Chopra has died on Sunday in Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. The death was a shocking news as he had recently celebrated his 80th birthday in full vigor. He was diagnosed with Dengue and was admitted to the hospital on October 13, 2012.
Yash is considered one of the most successful filmmaker in Bollywood. He had won six National Film Awards, eleven Filmfare awards, Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2001 and Padma Bhushan Award in 2005. Although he had worked as assistant director previously, he debuted as a director in 1959 with a Hindi movie ‘Dhool Ka Phool’. The movie was successful and his next movie ‘Dharmaputra’ released in 1961, was also very successful, establishing him in the industry. Yash started producing movies through his production company, Yash Raj Films, in 1973.


Yash is known for his successful movies like Trishul, Daag, Silsila, Deewar, Lahme, Chandani, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Aaina and others. Yash’s last movie, ‘Jab Tak Hei Jaan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan,Katrina and Anushka; is going to be released in coming Deepawali.

Happy Birthday Nandita Kc. Actress Nandita KC has celebrated her birthday on 15th October 2012. Although she didn’t have any formal birthday program, she celebrated with her family members. Nandita was busy till late for the shooting of a music video the day earlier so she woke up late to offer prayer to the god on the birthday.
Nandita says that she hasn’t organized a formal celebration of her birthday till date and she doesn’t want to start it now. All she does in her birthday is to go to temples and pray and celebrate with her family members.
Nandita started as a model and debuted as an actress in the Nepali movie ‘Indreni’. Dashain release ‘Dhuwaa Yo Nasha’, ‘Ke Ma Timro Saathi Banna Sakchhu’, ‘Loot Company’, ‘So Simple’. This Friday, on the eve of the biggest festival in Nepal, four movies are being released – ‘Dhuwaa Yo Nasha’, ‘Ke Ma Timro Saathi Banna Sakchhu’, ‘Loot Company’, and ‘So Simple’.
Krisha Chaulagai’s movie ‘Ke Ma Timro Saathi Banna Sakchhu’ is released in 30 theaters all over Nepal. The movie features Aryan Sigdel, and a new actress Dipti Giri in lead roles.
Another new release all over Nepal is ‘Loot Company’. The movie told to be an action comedy is produced by Rupendra Khadgi and features actors like Dil Krishna Shrestha, Prajwal Giri, and Sanjog Rana.

Ram Prasad Rijal’s production, ‘Dhuwaa Yo Nasha’ is being released in 28 theaters out of Kathmandu. The movie directed by Laxman Rijal features artists like Aryan Sigdel and Nisha Adhikari in lead roles. The movie will come to theaters in Kathmandu next week on Kartik 10 (October 26).

Another new release of Shiva Regmi, ‘So Simple’ will also be released in theaters out of Kathmandu. ‘So Simple’ will also release in Kathmandu on Kartik 10 (October 26). The movie features Shiva Regmi’s daughter Bhawana Regmi, Rajballav Koirala, Pramod Bhardwaj, Ashok Sharma, Sweta Bhattarai, Sushil Pokharel, Nirmal Sharma, Rashmi Bhatta in main roles.

‘Ma Chhu ni Timro’, ‘My Brother’ and ‘Sayna’ released on Oct 12. Three movies (one in Kathmandu and other two out of Kathmandu) are being released on Friday, October 12, 2012. Last week, four movies were released to cash on the ban of Hindi movies in theaters, but none of them were successful in winning the hearts of the viewers. This week, the ban is lifted and a Hindi movie is also being released on the day.
The Rose Rana production ‘Ma Chhu ni Timro’ was released last year in theaters out of Kathmandu and is being released in Kathmandu now. The movie written by Maunata Shrestha features actors like Saujanya Subba, Ayush Rijal and Rose Rana himself.
